Qatar ranked first in the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region and 29th globally in the 2021 Global Peace Index (GPI) rising two places from last year.

Becoming the most peaceful country in the region reflects Qatar’s commitment to fostering and maintaining a high level of societal safety and security and is a milestone for us to be proud of, stated the Qatar Free Zones Authority (QFZA), in post on social media.

Produced by the Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP), the GPI is the world’s leading measure of global peacefulness that uses 23 qualitative and quantitative indicators to determine its findings.
